SOURCE: I need help

it could be that the wires on the back of speaker are not fully connected or the speaker is blown and maybe try and swap some of the speakers around to see if its the speaker or the amp

SOURCE: I have a pair of SONY SAVA-500 speakers I have had

Google Sony sava 500 look at images it always shows the 4 pin connector the reason for not leaving a link is that everytime I look for that part someone else stocks the part it runs around 35 bucks shipping inc.

I got Sony SAVA 700 speakers. I put fuses and the wires back. I can't fix the power cord. Its connected to nothing.Looks like it should go on a board. can anyone send me in the right direction?

Find the power transformer. Then follow the primary leads to where they go. The wires should be thicker than the secondary leads from it. The mains cable should join up with those somewhere.

Ihave a sava-500 home theater speaker system i dont have the cord to connect the 2 tower speakers will this affect the sound from the main speaker using the av input

With not all the speakers hooked up, it will definitly effect the sound. The unit is designed to channel different sounds to certain speakers. That's what makes you feel like "you are there" If you have lost the cords to the tower speakers, you can buy replacements. Go to where you bought the unit, a Radio Shack, or other store that sells home theater systems. Enjoy your system like it was designed .

REAR AND CENTER SPEAKERS WILL NOT PLAY

rear and center speakers will not play...................are you in the 5.1 channel input, or one of the others? either way, start by making sure that your center channel is set for normal mode (instead of a wide or a phantom mode) this silly setting can cause all kinds of trouble shooting nightmares especially particular to the 5.1 input setting. best reccommended to select the 5.1 input option and do a "t.test" on the system to ensure that all speakers are indeed wired and properly recieving some signal..... the rest will flow from there..... I have also noticed that in particular sound modes, the system is extremely finicky about the connections..... if you are using the 5.1 option, you need to be sure that something is plugged into the inputs on the back (regardless if they are connected to anything) the system seems to prefer when all ports are filled. hope this helps..... i realize that it has been a while since this question has been posted, but let me assure you, that some of us are still rockin those sava systems..... still by today's comparison, it is difficult to beat the sound quality and oh my the bass!!

Speaker Off/On

If I am reading your symptoms correctly, it sounds like you are getting audio to your surround sound receiver, but not your TV speakers? If that is the case, I would be checking for a defective audio output IC and possibly an IC Protector fuse connected to it.
