1. Open the iTunes or App Store on your iPhone
   
2. Tap Music from the bottom navigation bar if you're in the iTunes Store, then scroll to the bottom of the page. If you're using the App Store, tap Featured from the bottom navigation bar and scroll to the bottom of the page.
3. Tap Redeem.
4. In the text box, enter your redemption code exactly as it appears on the back of the iTunes Gift Card.
5. When done, tap Redeem.

what gift card and where need alot mor info than provided

In order to fix this problem, go to billing info, and when it lets you choose the credit card method, choose the option "none" then it will let you use your gift card. Otherwise it assumes you want to use a credit card. Hope this helps.
