Re: power supply

Hi-As you can see on the label at the bottom of JBL Encounter, you will need a 18V AC 3Amini power adaptator to make it work. The reference for it is: TA66180350-C5-Cheers

Jean, take the speaker with you to the source or electronics shop and they will match you up with proper universal adapter.

Replacement power supply - can i convert AC to DC output connector?

I'm not clear on the four pins of the DC power supply for the speakers. Do you think there two different voltages needed??? It's not worth trying to convert your ac power supply/ It would take a few parts and you will not end up with 18 vdc. You can purchase a 18 v dc adapter for as little as 15.00.

My speakers won't work there is no power no light

If the speakers require an aux power supply like a power adapter patched to the speakers from a wall type transformer; then try another adapter as the one you have may be damaged and not putting out current. Replacements are cheap. Go to RadioShack wit the one you have and they will test yours and if bad, they have the exact replacement.

I only need the AC Adapter Campanion 2 for my Bose spearkers. How can I find just the adapter?

Look where the AC adapter would plug in.
Look for "rating", e.g., 'DC' or 'AC',
and '6V' or '9V',
and look at the size/shape of the plug.

Then, go to a "Dollar Store" or "Thrift Store", and try to match the ratings and the plug-layout with the available inventory.

Or, contact BOSE, and see if you can buy it from their web-site.

may be you have not installed the audio drivers.... if not then so install it & then try it will work..
if it is installed then check whether the audio cable from speakers to the cpu is correctly connected to audio jack in the cpu..(u must connect to green audio port)
check whether the power supply of the speakers is given r not...
check whether the power button of the speaker is on ....

if the same problem persists then there may be miscontact inside the speaker (if the speaker is showing green light when it is on means then there is no power supply cable problem else there may be power supply cable problem try changing it )
may be the capacitor inside the speaker is gone
if the problem persists then
take the speakers to technician ....

Can't find a power adapter.

most speakers use a 5-12 volt DC power supply, you can get an adjustable power supply from radio shack which can be used as a replacement for your power supply. Just look on your spaeker unit for the voltage and current and hand these readings to the sales person and they should be able to show you a power supply that can be used in its place.
