Hold on .... you want a 3-way timer.... 0192773 is NOT 3-way timer... same link describes 3-ways timers
Since each light switch are not 3 way switches do you mean to say that I need a 3 way timer simply because of my configuration? Also, the back of this single pole timer only has slots for the wires and not built in wires like the diagram. Lowe's told me to use pigtails for all connections and hook it up as the diagram from their web site shows. Do you think this will cause an unsafe situation in the box?
Here is the link for the install diagram on Lowe's website...http://pdf.lowes.com/operatingguides/827...
If you are replacing single-pole timer... then the 019 Lowes timer will work to replace single-pole. If you are replacing 3-ways switch... then you need different timer rated for 3-way... and you can replace one of the 3-way switches with a timer, while the other switch must remain a switch.
Lowes / Utilitec changed the 019... timer and 014.. during past few years. The old timers had wires instead of quick connects as shown in product manual. They probably did this so people could not connect the timer to a big wire that controls big motor. Instead only certain size will will fit into the quick connect hole. Also probably cuts down on manufacturing costs.
Using pigtails will not be unsafe.. but box can get crowded full of wires.
Use solid wire only for pigtails.http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-selec...
