Presumably the cat has left the worktop for toilet breaks but has returned there each time.
If the cat has been eating and drinking normally and seems contented there are unlikely to be any health concerns especially if the cat can be distracted by playing. If the answer to any of these is no it might be time to be concerned.
Cats can be inscrutable. I am wondering if it is an indoor cat that never goes out. I am wondering if it is a male or female cat. Perhaps that spot of the worktop is an ideal vantage point to watch the local competition, especially if the scent of mating is in the air. It would be somewhat confusing for an indoor cat and the significance of such scents and sounds aren't entirely lost on a neutered cat.
It is just possible that spot on the worktop has an appliance or something underneath it making it a warm place to sit.
Male or female cat--you did not say. If cat is male check his litter box if leavings are normal and solid then perhaps his 'tail glands' are leaking and will need to be manually expressed. If female same check of the box if OK then we might suspect a case of pyometra. Check the wet spots, do they have an 'off' odor or something like a rotting smell? If so go to veterinarian IMMEDIATELY this is a life threatening condition as it is an infection of the womb
2003? original shocks,I assume. Could be a loose shock bolt, loose sway bar bushing or end link bushing Is the tail pipe touching the frame? When it cools, wiggle the tail pipe forcefully up and down. Crawl under there and inspect both rear shock absorber mounts and sway bar bushings and mounting bolts. if it LOOKS good, have someone bounce the rear of the truck when you are nearby. Hear the noise? left side or right side?

The Jazzy Select 6 requires an off-board charger. Plug the charger into a grounded outlet; preferably one that doesn't have other large loads on the circuit like refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc. The male 3-prong XLR connector coming off the other end of the charger plugs into a female XLR connector which is on the joystick control's bottom-rear. Charge it overnight after each days use, and at least once each month overnight. You should get 2-4 hours of use from the chair at top speed with a 200 pound driver, depending on terrain and climate. If it isn't holding a charge, you will probably need two new U-1 type gel sealed batteries that run about $120.00 or so each. Make sure you test the old batteries first at a knowledgeable battery shop. These are deep cycle batteries and require a special testing. If the batteries are good, then your charger isn't charging. Search EBay or other online sites for a wheelchair charger in the 4-6 amp range. They can be found for about $45.00 or so. Pride will charge you a lot more.
