i have just loaded xp onto my equium 3200m but now the monitor goes onto standby after bootup. How can i fix this?

when loging on windows press F8 button then choose Safe mode.
If your monitor work on safe mode
so all you have to do is to change your screen refresh rate & settings
Right click on your desktop > properties > settings > change your screen resolution to 600 by 800 then go to >advanced > Monitor and click on (Hide modes that this monitor cannot display )
