What is a good laser cleaner to use - Symphonic CD5800 CD Player

If it came from alkaline batteries (Duracells, etc) flush the battery compartment with an acidic cleaner, like an orange cleaner. This will help neutralize the alkaline left behind. Clean that out as best you can. Dont put too much in the battery compartment or it will contaminate the laser internals. Clean the battery contacts, and you should be good to go. if not, then likely the main board has been damaged, and you should get it looked at. They can usually be cleaned up, but it may require a new board.

either the disc is damaged or the laser on the machine cant read due to dirty laser put a laser disc cleaner through it they are sold at all good electronics parts stores

either dirty laser or bad laser. You need to take your 360 apart. Its pretty simple. Also take the disc drive apart also simple 4 philips screws on disc drive. The wipe your laser off with qtip and alchol. If you dont see a red beam come up from your laser when you power your system on then the laser is bad. You need to see a good red beam not weak red beam means lasers going out. Those disc cleaners dont work worth **** anymore. I actually used one in a friends car cd player and screwed his laser up worse.

Lens cleaners can actually do more harm than good, if under warranty, send it back, try all different formats of disc, if none work you may need to disassemble unit and clean laser with a cotton tip, alternatively you may need to replace the laser. Good Luck.

try cleaning the laser with a Q-tip and some glass cleaner, dip the Q-tip in the cleaner and wipe it on the laser and take the dry side and dry it off. If that dosen't help your problem then I'm afraid you need a new laser. The good news is they aren't that expensive (around $25) and they are pretty easy to install too.

hi, this is a common problem and most of the time cleaning the laser with a dvd cleaner solves the problem, give it a go.

HI.. CD CLEANERS DONT WORK....IF YOU HAVE THE TIME.. REMOVE THE WHOLE UNIT OUT..AND CLEAN THE LASER...(Q-TIP,CLEANER)IF YOU THINK IT MAY JUST BE A DIRTY LASER IT'S SOMETHING TO TRY.. BEFORE GETTING A NEW ONE ..WITH OUT LOOKING AT IT IS HARD TO SAY.. CHECK ALL CONNECTIONS ALSO.. GOOD LUCK

I don't see why not, you can buy a special CD that you can use to clean the laser
