The sound is not in sync with actors mouths

I have gone to options menu and tried to adjust the sound but I do not know which way to go? It says +3; so do I go up or down?

Hi Bob,
If your TV is a 42PT350, I think there is no user adjustment for audio sync. If you are using a cable box look for a delay setting in its menu. The +3 setting you see is probably the ClearVoice adjustment (filters out background audio for people with hearing problems)

Mitsubishi VS-50803 Big Screen TV - Trying to hook up an HDTV cable box, I was told to hit: menu, 1, 3, 7, 0 - to get to the service menu and switch DTV over to HD and that would solve my no signal...

First please confirm actual model number on rear of set.

Something is not right here, I am looking at Mitsubishi material downloaded in my computer; shows all codes for sets up to 2004. VS-50803 is a VZ6 Chassis made in 1998 and I doubt it is HD set, if it is one of the early ones it will have beneath the HD input vert sync and Horz sync---those required a special box from Mitsubishi etc.

Set has 3 hidden menus:
1. Option menu (for hard reset)= Menu 1,3,7,0 enter
2. Circuit adjust menu= Menu 2,3,5,7 enter
3. Convergence adjust menu= Menu, 2,3,5,9,enter (#4,5,6 on remote then change modes)

Does the DTV input have the two vert, horz jacks as well?

First is the Option menu is really only for a hard reset of the entire set, if you engaged it you may have de-converged the set.

The adjust menu is for height, width etc

The convergence menu is for convergence.

If you did something and did not save it, unplugging set should put it back to before what you did.

In the OPTION MENU WHAT DID YOU SELECT AND DID YOU HIT ENTER WHEN YOU FINISHED?

Audio does not match actors mouth , like an old godzilla movie this is second one

Have you connected the Blu-ray player to an AV receiver. If so you can go into the setup of the Receiver and adjust the Lip Sync in some receivers its called Timebase Correction. It will be given in milli seconds. This adjustment allows the use to delay the voice in milliseconds to sync with the picture. Maybe even your Bluray player setup might have this feature. Mostly it is done by the Receiver.

How can I stop the bleep tone when I am creatng a text message? Do I have to put the phone on silent mode every time?

You can adjust the volume and change the sound it makes. To adjust the volume, press the menu button, then go to "Settings & Tools". Under Settings & Tools, select "Sounds Settings" (it should be #4). Then select "Keypad Volume" (should also be #4). If you want the noise completely gone, scroll down until it says "off" and press ok. If you were talking about something else, let me know. Hope this helps!

Sound and picture movement are out of sinc. sound basically doesnt match up with mouth movement

There should be an option in one of the menus called lipsync or something similar. This allows you to adjust the sound and picture sync.

When i watch dvds, the background noise is loud

Go to your set up menu, navigate to speaker set up and check your sound levels to front, center, and rear channels. Adjust as needed to fit the room. My Sony has a test tone option which sends a signal (at levels selected) to each speaker to check sound level and if speaker is connected and in right place.

I have an LG 752 DVD player but when playing pre-recorded DVD films on it you can't hear the actors very well. All speakers seem to be working okay and it all seems to be properly connected. The actors...

Be sure to match the speaker cables to the appropriate terminal on the components: + to + and - to -. If the cables are reversed, the sound will be distorted and lack base.

Also, adjust the sound mode through the menu button on the remote.

I hope this help :)

Tascam Us144 and Sonar3 problem!!!!

Try this experiment:  Record a click track on track #1.  Record track #2 of the output of a monitor speaker playing track #1.
Now you have two click tracks which will probably not be cooincident (like they should be).
Measure the offset of the two tracks!  You now know your latency exactly, and can compensate by adjusting settings or moving the vocal track back manually that many milliseconds!
