I hope it was clean water! You should be able to pop the screen off by using a knife on the edge and gently pry all the way around until the screen comes loose, then dry out. Whenever anything electronic is soaked in water, the first thing one should do is disconnect the battery; too late now, but perhaps it will not hurt. If power is connected, electrolysis takes place which can ruin the circuit board and/or components. Dry naturally, or with a hair dryer (not a lot of heat), and you may be okay. Do not power up until it is completely dry. I hope this helps. Good luck and God bless you.

Kobo help

Clean water, I hope, otherwise chances are much worse. DON'T turn it on. Pat it dry as much as possible, then completely bury it in a sealed jar of uncooked rice for maybe 3 days. After that, try turning it on. If nothing, try charging for several hours. If still nothing, sorry!

How to fix kurio 7 after dropped in water?

This is probably water damaged. You MIGHT get lucky with keeping it (powered off) in a bag of rice to wick the moisture out of the tablet and into the rice. Keep it there for a few days to keep it from getting damaged any further.

How to fix it, i dropped my nextbook on carpet and now nextbook turns on but nothing but green and white screen

You damaged the display screen. It needs to be replaced with a new one. It will not be a cheap repair. Estimated cost to repair is around 175.00. It will be cheaper to buy a new nextbook tablet.

My tablet feel into the bathtub, and now when I go to turn it on, I get a greenish, whitesh screen. Help?

  • Act fast. Assume your phone is going to be alright and take immediate action.
  • Do not attempt to switch the phone on to see if it's still working. You risk doing further damage by shorting components.
  • Remove the battery, SIM card and MicroSD card if you have one.
  • Dry as much as you can by hand with a towel, and blow out water from all the crevasses with a can of compressed air. If you don't have a can handy, do it by mouth.
  • Submerge your phone in a bowl of dry rice (this will absorb surrounding moisture), or if you have them, moisture absorbing crystals like the ones you get in satchels with electronic gadgets. No you can't use left over fried rice from last nights Chinese takeaway.
  • Wait at least 24 hours before trying to boot the phone.
  • There are no guarantees your phone will be resurrected.

How do i fix a wet zeepad?

Before you take it anywhere why not try this idea. I had an iphone that was dropped in the bath tub full of water. I tried to dry it with a hair dryer but it did not work. My oldest daughter told me to put it in a plastic bag of dry white rice and seal it closed. Let it stay in the bag for a few days to give the rice time to absorb the water that is in the phone. I did this and left it for four days and removed it from the rice and the phone started working right away. Its worth a try.

Ipad dropped in water

This is touchy first of all, DO NOT attempt to turn it on, if you have done so this may be too late.

Things you will need; Silica Gel Packs if you can get them, or a bag of rice.

Put the iPad into a seal able bag with the silica gel packs or the rice (the rice can be loose) for at least 72 hours. This should take all the moisture out of the tablet. You can use also a seal able tupperware box but you need to emerge the ipad inside the dry rice.

It goes without saying the rice should NOT be cooked rice. I hope this helps you. Have a great day

Wet tablet

Put it in a large bowl. Then add rice. Rice has a habit of soaking up water. After a few days try your luck and turn it on.
