Generic problem for all DVD Players

Alab rdvd 1002 machine wont format discs

dvd player/recorder wont format discs if I put a DVD+R disc in comes up with blank dvd detected do you want to format yes or no clicking on yes goes to format screen ( ie says formatting please wait) but then goes back to blank dvd detected do you want ot format if I click yes same thing if I click no ejects disc what do I do

- mine does the same wont format blank discs gets 2 27% then spits it out does any1 no wot i can do coz it is a great dvd player i luv it- nick221
