How do i replace to nozzle/valve assembly on a hoover steamvac model F59149?

  • Thatvacguy.com Feb 08, 2015

Hi James Stokes, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? I can't find F59149. Could it be model F5914-900? I don't know which part or parts you are referring to by nozzle/valve assembly.

  • James Stokes Feb 08, 2015

You are correct. the model number is actually F5914900. Most of the web sites I have been looking at trying to find information just drop the last two zeroes. I did find the part number I need. It is 43412007 on Repair Clinic.com. But I cannot find instructions on how to actually replace it. Thank You.

Hi James, that is the correct part for your model. I believe I have the part in stock, I will check when I get to my store, for $8.99 including shipping. I will also include installation instructions and my toll-free number if you have any questions getting the part installed.

The response was very helpful. When asked if the answer was helpful i clicked on "yes", however it appears that my reply was registered as a "no". If so, that is incorrect. As stated previously, the response was very helpful.

How do I get the hood off of a Hoover SteamVac without breaking anything? I had one answer but a key word was replaced with *s and made it indecipherable.

To clean the brushes on a Hoover SteamVac without breaking anything, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off the SteamVac and unplug it from the electrical outlet.
  2. Locate the brushes: they are usually located under the unit near the front or in the back.
  3. Remove any debris or foreign objects from around the brushes.
  4. Use a small brush or toothbrush to gently clean the brushes of any dirt or debris. Be careful not to bend or break the brushes.
  5. Replace the brushes and reassemble the SteamVac.
  6. Plug the SteamVac back in and turn it on to test if it is working properly.
If the brushes are damaged or worn out, they may need to be replaced. It is also a good idea to refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions on how to clean and maintain the brushes on your model of Hoover SteamVac.

How do i replace a valve assemblyon a hoover widepath f6020

You don't need a new hose. Remove the two Phillips head screws which hold down the wand cover. Be very careful when removing these parts. Pay close attention on how these parts are assembled. They are spring loaded and will fly out the end of the hose assembly when the cover is removed. The wand valve assembly or the nozzle valve assembly or usually the parts that break. Hello! The nozzle/valve assembly, the white piece at the end of the hose that releases the solution may be clogged with build-up residue. Try soaking the trigger end in warm water for a few hours. If this does not help, the nozzle/valve assembly may need to be replaced. Order the nozzle/valve assembly by following this link. I have a Hoover V2 Steam Vac widepath and the

Hello,

This is a notorious problem with the Hoover V2 SteamVac's. In fact the tank design by Hoover on your SteamVac was so bad, that Hoover redesigned this tank almost immediately due to the numerous problems customers were having.

For your particular problem, you really have two options. The first option is putting a bandaid over the problem, but will still fix it. We sell the entire gasket assembly on the bottom of the detergent tank as a replacement part. Unfortunately it's sold together with the seal, spring, and valve together as an assembly;

You also may wish to fix the problem completely by replacing the entire clean water solution tank. Hoover has redesigned this tank, and the new one I don't see near the amount of problems that I do on the older style tanks. The plastic is much more sturdy, and less prone to having the gasket and valve issues that the old tanks do. It's important to point out that the new tank does not come with the handle. You'll need to remove the handle from your old tank if you buy a new tank assembly complete. Rest assured that if you do purchase any part from GoVacuum, you'll have 60 days to return it for a full refund, just in case the repair doesn't work. Not only do we not deduct restocking fees or shipping charges, but we also include a return label with every order that you may use to return any item to us, and we'll even pay for your return shipping!

Here's the Hoover SteamVac V2 Clean Water Solution Tank, Part 12002549

If you'd like us to do a repair photograph series on this repair of the valve and gasket assembly, please just request a repair clarification here on Fixya, and we'll be happy to do so. If you found this helpful, please be sure to rate the review as helpful by clicking on the 4 Thumbs Up Icons in the top right hand corner of the repair.

Thank you so much,
