Sounds like your car needs a tune up. At a certain mileage the car probably needs an oil change and other maitanence. Go on YouTube and watch a video to reset the button. Good luck.
A maintenance required light means some type of maintenance is required on your car. It wont clear until the maintenance is done. Unfortunately you will probably have take it to a dealer for repair and clearing the code.
Ok so the TA code means that the all maintenance counter has reached its limit To clear this you need to clear this easy you want # , * , c , * To enter service mode Type in code 24 press start Then you want sub code04 Then you can select what you want to clear so the maintenance count all Execute this yes then press the CA key the machine will restart and away you go I also do advise that you service representative comes along at some point to check the machine it could need parts because if you stretch the life of parts your machine could become unreliable... But that is up to you
First, make sure you are talking about your mainanence required light, and not your check engine light.
Your maintanence required light is telling you that some normal maintanence is required since you have traveled some pre-determined number of miles (pre-determined by Honda). For example, it could mean an oil change should take place, etc. If you keep track of those things on your own, then you need only reset the light, as follows: Turn off the engine. Press and hold the Select/Reset knob (odometer) in the instrument panel, then turn the ignition switch just to ON (II). Do not start the car. Hold the knob for approximately ten seconds until the indicator resets. Hope this helps you.
