Re: can not send or recieve emails at my address

Hi, As far as I am aware you must have the @ symbol in between the users name and the actual address for the address to work as in, I am assumming that your username is dbivens and the rest or the typing is the address.

The separation character is the @ symbol.

The email provider does not have to be your Internet provider.
Normally you set up an email account and your email address is put in for you, as "From:xxxx@xxxx"
You just have to put in who you want to send it to.

When I REPLY to SOME emails I get"message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was ....... etc." But when I create a new...

If you are using email like OutlookExpress, or Windows Mail, you may have linked to multiple email address' . So when you hit Send / Recive, its checking 2 or more email adds.. If so, one of them is not setup correctly for the Outgoing server. When you create a new email, it uses your default main email address, which is apparently setup correctly. When you reply to a mail which came in on the "other" account the outgoing server setup is wrong, resulting in the message you recieve.
You should go over the server setting for each account other than your default email account.

Unable to send e-mail, keep getting an error message

Are you using Yahoo or other 3rd party email or a client (like Outlook)? If you're using Outlook (or other client) you need to re-setup your email address and password so Outlook can connect with your email source.

I am trying to switch from web mail to outlook express. I called my isp ( used their services, then they referred me to you.

Rather than trying to walk you through every step here, I've located a tutorial for how to set up your email in Outlook. Outlook's email setup is very similar to Outlook Express's setup. The easiest thing to do is to use the email setup wizard under tools/email accounts in OE. Basically, the key things are to make sure that you enter your email address and PW correctly (the PW is case sensitive), then enter the correct settings for your POP and SMTP email servers. The article points out the correct names, but be sure to use the right RR region (like KC.RR.Com if you're in Kansas City).

Make sure you click on the plus sign next to

default.aspx?assetid=za790050001033Add your Time Warner Cable Road Runner e-mail account

to be able to see the entire text section. If you get confused on anything, post back here.

Good luck and please let me know if this helps!

I use Outlook Express for Emailing, i would like to change my present email address please can you help me to do this? Regards Clive.

Outlook Express is just a software which can send and recieve emails from any email account configured on it(Outlook Express). regardless of yahoo, gmail, , etc.

So if you want to change your email address and want to use it on outlook express, you need to first create an email account by going to the website on which you want to create an email address.

Once you have created the email address we can look for the POP/SMTP server settings of that particular email account on the internet .
Once we have those(POP/SMTP) addresses we can configure Outlook Express to send and recieve emails for your new email account.

As long as the email account is still an active account, you can go to the following link to get access to his email.

If your father cannot remember his password, or the login doesn't let him in, you will need to call Road Runner to have them fix it on their end. Just call 614-487-7766 or 877-317-7766 (Voice) and let them know that he has moved and is using a different computer. They will fix it from there.
