Hi, As far as I am aware you must have the @ symbol in between the users name and the actual address for the address to work as in, I am assumming that your username is dbivens and the rest or the typing is the address.

Hi, I just thought of something...I think that you do have the @ symbol in there as that it is where the "2"

Ok so have you got the POP and SMTP settings correct from you ISP. or Internet service provider. Both of these have to be correctly put into the software for the email to be sent and collected.

What email program are you using?

I have an email set on my lgk360 phone and i can browes through enternet but i can not send an email through the phone and i can not also recieve new mails.becouse whenever i try to send an email i recieve...

There is an issue with your outgoing email server settings. Try to set them to match your incoming settings. Most email clients allow you to place a checkmark in the box for "Use Incoming Mail server settings"

I am unable to setup my email wizard in my samsung corby

Standard instructions for email inbox setup:

i have finished my corby pro email settings & i can send and recieve emails. the problem with only recieving & not able to send is the confusion between port numbers. in secure connection box three options available ' off ', ' SSL ', ' TLS '. use only SSL or TLS because the port numbers for SSL & TLS differs. just try this & you will be able to send and recieve emails.

                                                    SMTP port - 465

                                                    POP3 port - 995

Enable POP in Gmail. Don't forget to click Save Changes when you're done.Configure your client to match the settings below:Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS or (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Port for TLS/STARTTLS: 587
Port for SSL: 465Account Name:your full email address (including Address:your email address ( Gmail password

Unless you're using recent mode to download mail to multiple clients, make sure you've opted not to leave messages on the server. Your Gmail settings determine whether or not messages stay on the server, so this setting in your client won't affect how Gmail handles your mail.

Please note that if your client does not support SMTP authentication, you won't be able to send mail through your client using your Gmail address.

Also, if you're having trouble sending mail but you've confirmed that encyrption is active for SMTP in your mail client, try to configure your SMTP server on a different port: 465 or 587.

You're now ready to use POP with your Gmail address.

I am trying to figure out how to recieve and send emails. I did try and create another email account with the address

Run Internet Explorer, go to follow the directions to setup an account. You can now send/receive from that gmail account.
The good thing is you can change ISPs and you still have your same email address.

I use Outlook Express for Emailing, i would like to change my present email address please can you help me to do this? Regards Clive.

Outlook Express is just a software which can send and recieve emails from any email account configured on it(Outlook Express). regardless of yahoo, gmail, , etc.

So if you want to change your email address and want to use it on outlook express, you need to first create an email account by going to the website on which you want to create an email address.

Once you have created the email address we can look for the POP/SMTP server settings of that particular email account on the internet .
Once we have those(POP/SMTP) addresses we can configure Outlook Express to send and recieve emails for your new email account.

IPhone Road Runner Issues

Setting Outgoing Server on iPhone
1. From the Home screen, tap Settings.
2. On the Settings screen, tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
3. On the Mail screen, under Accounts, tap your Roadrunner account.
4. Tap Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP).
5. Tap Primary Server (might say, or some other rr server)
Host Name
Change Host Name to
User Name
Leave blank
Leave blank

Make sure SSL is off
Should say Password
Server Port
Should say 25, if not change to 25

As an alternate if the above does not work: After tapping Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP), look for AT&T SMTP Server, tap it, then turn Server to ON

Good Luck!

Sending e-mail on iPhone

I think I found the solution for those of you who are on roadrunner service. I researched online for several hours and came up with this solution - it works for me - receiving and sending all mail:
Go to Settings disable wi-fi instead of the pie on the top you will see the blue E Go to Settings - general - reset - click on reset networks Once your network is reset, click on Settings - Mail - add account - plus in your name, address, and e-mail account name Scroll to incoming mail server: type in user name (that's the first part of your e-mail addresss before the your password (the one you used setting up your account with roadrunner) scroll down to outgoing mail server host name: click on Advanced - make sure that use ssl is off on both incoming and outgoing. Your server port should show as 587 when all done, click on the top left arrow which should show your e-mail address exit the mail system, the click on the icon from the main menu and it should work Good luck!
