To open the Samsung Smart TV Remote, flip the remote over and slide the back cover down in the direction on the indicators. Sliding the backside on the remove toward the indicators will expose a small gap on the front side of the remote.

Use you phones camera..point the remote towards the camera and press the power or any button on the remote..if you see lights on the camera flickering..remote is all good..if not you can disassemble the remote and use alcohol to clean the board

Check to see if the "off" button on remote is working. You may have to disassemble the remote and clean out the contacts involved to restore operation.

Did u tried disassemble remote control and clean PCB with clean cloth? Also u can take rubber part of remote and wash it carefully in soaped water . While u have it disassembled check for bad solder connections at IR LED on remote controller . Regards .

thats because you didn't recode the remote to the garage door or you have not recoded it correctly. double check the remotes settings (if it can be changed) to ensure it matches the door opener. Now, if you cannot see any method of changing the remote to suit the main unit, it may be that the remote is factory coded or that it is coded by Soldering links on the circuit board. Carefully disassemble the remote to have a look if it does not have a small bank of switches in the battery compartment. If the switches are there, check the coding is the same as the main unit, if the switches are not there, disassemble and check for solder links on the circuit board. If you are not confident with using a soldering iron, take the remote to someone who is.

Remove batteries from remote, to avoid further damage caused from liquid on powered circuits.
Allow the remote with the cover opened to dry for few days. Ideally the remote should be disassembled and the internal parts treated with cleaning solution, or 70% isopropyl alcohol and water. If you do not want to disassemble just let it there to dry up.

If the remote does not work after that , it means that the liquid had damaged circuits.
