Unforunately you cannot recover a lost WPA key. It negates the purpose of the key. You will have to log on to the router and create a new one and make sure all connecting clients have a matching key.

Steps are located here:

How to find wpa key

The WPA Key is usually established in the router by the user, though there are routers which will generate a random one for you. You must know this key to connect with any wireless device. The key will NOT normally be displayed within the router...it is represented by a series of dots. This is for security issues. If you lost or forgot the WPA key, you will need to create a new one and relink all your wireless devices.

I forgot my wpa key

Generally on the back of your router there will be a reset button, hold it down and it should reset everything to factory, if that don't work, you can log into your web browser interface usually the IP is 192.168.1.1 type that in your browser, and depending on the brand it will ask you for a password and username, if you dont know it try googling a default user and pass and try that( i.e. linksys router: user. root pass. admin) I hope this will help!

Looking to connect awireless laptop printer and need the WEP or WPA key for the wireless network

WEP or WPA Key is the password for your wireless network.. it's the same password you used to connect your laptop to the wireless.. if yo forgot what it is, you might need to contact the manufacturer of the router or your internet service provider to reconfigure or re-setup your wireless network.. hope this helps a bit.

How do I find the WPA key ?

If you are trying to connect the PSP through a network that belongs to you, then the network administrator is the person to ask for the WPA key.
The WPA is like a password. It protects the network from unauthorized access.

Forgot network password

Hello...if you need to retrieve your network key, eg to connect a new laptop to the internet, this can be found within your router settings.

Here's a rough guide:

1. Type your router IP address, eg http://192.168.1.1 or whatever is correct for your model, into a web browser address bar

2. Enter your router username and/or password at the prompt. The defaults for Linksys are username: (left blank) and password: admin : but if you have set a router password/username, please enter these.

3. In the router user interface, go to the section headed Wireless Security, or similar. Every router is different, so you may have to hunt around a little. Key words to look for are Security, Wireless Settings, Encryption, WPA, (or WEP).

Your network key will be somewhere here. It might be labelled PSK, pre-shared key, WPA or WEP key, WPA-PSK, network key, WPA shared key, passphrase etc – but that’s the one you need.

For more details, you could pick up a manual from the Linksys site or view the help pages; otherwise, please come back to Fixya with your model number, and let us know how we can help. Good luck
