How do i find the square root of a number on the casio scientific calculator

Press SHIFT [SETUP] 1 to set the MthIO mode.

Try calculating the square root of 8 (press sqrt 8 =). Do you get 2sqrt2?

Press right-arrow when you're done with the argument of the square root. For example, from page E-15 of the manual, to calculate 1 + square_root(2) + 3, press 1 + square_root 2 right-arrow + 3 =

If you mean the 3.28th root of 50.42, press
3 . 2 8 SHIFT [xth-root] 5 0 . 4 2 =

xth-root is the shifted function of the "^" key.

To calculate a square root you press the square root key. A radical will be displayed. You type in the positive number whose root you want. Press the EXE key.

Press the square-root key (third row from the top, second column from the left). Type in the number and press =. If you get a symbolic result, press S-D to convert or else press SHIFT ENTER instead of ENTER. If you don't want to see any symbolic results, press SHIFT MODE 2 to switch to the LineIO mode.

Press the square root key then enter a positive number. If the screen displays a left parenthesis, close the right parenthesis before pressing the =/EXE key at the bottom right of the keypad.
The square root key has the markings of a radical.

Two buttons under the shift key-(top left key) and to the right one is the square root key. Just push it and put the number in...it is not manditory to close the parentesis. You can also hit shift before the square root key to get the cubed root.

if it is a perfct square root then u will get a integer part.....if its not a perfect square root than obviously u will get decimal part........ u just check ur calculater in which mode it is......exit the radian and do it

If you want a number in decimal form all you have to do is press [S<-->D].
