I had the same problem with my CLC 1150. Later it was found the machine was running out of Black Toner. Since the senor on the hopper unit was unplugged, the machine didn't give the 'low senor' signal. Once black toner is filled and INIT-4 was initiated, the problem was solved.

This error saysthis:• The toner concentration sensor is faulty/
• The developer inside the developing
assembly is not stirred properly.
• The sensor is subjected to stray light
(no cover, front cover open).
• The photosensitive drum has
Enter service mode *28* and reset error and
Do the stir again and init in service mode to the magenta. must let it go through until it says ready. Check data against intial install data. Did you empty the magenta completely and then put in new toner and then developer? Error 0124 is 01 = magenta and xx24 is:xx24 At time of setting initial
data (as during
installation), the result of

C/Y levels is '683' or less
or that of PT-SIG-K

I have a CLC 1180. The problem is when it prints it stop on the Magenta color and has error E020 with sub 124. I have change both the starter and also change the Toner Density Sensor Unit (FG6-2541-000). Now I can print single colors like yelow, cyan and black but when I try magenta it stops and gives the error. I also change the hopper sensor (FH7-7336-000). Anyone have any ideas?

Hello flip. I risk being rated poorly by you which will hurt my rating on this site but I'd rather help YOU than worry about it. I bet the status bar that shows the device attempting to load/boot goes just so far and hangs. If I am correct then the system software needs to be re-loaded as the onboard batteries were responsible for maintaining that info. You will have to start the machine in safe mode and reload the system boot firm/soft ware.Hold down the numbers 2 and 8 when you power up the device and you should start in safe mode. This will allow you to load the system software (which sounds like everything but is only the instruction set that allows the copier to access the additional info it need from the sdram and hard drive). However, safe mode merely puts the copier in a state which is receptive to loading the system software. The rest is deep sh%t unless you have the credentials, the data, and the application to install the firmware. I dont mind trying help you further, whatever it takes. But chances are we will need a "dude" on your side (literally) to help us out. Let me know if I can be of help or if you want me to hush. :-)
