The fuse box you need is under the hood near the battery. It's a large black box, usually held closed with clips. There should be a fuse layout diagram on the inside of the cover panel you take off. Check fuses B, C, E, F and G. B, C, E and G are 15 Amp fuses. F is a 20 Amp fuse.
Try the web link below for the layout and listing of the fuses.

Bummer deal! On some cars this happens to warn you tail lights are out! ...check as follows...
Sounds like tail light bulbs are wasted - or a fuse for that circuit needs replaced. Remove light bulbs and see if there is a brake in their tiny filament. Replace both sides if not sure. See the fuse panel cover or car manual for the fuse location. A spare may be there to replace - if needed - or buy a pak of the size sown. Hope this helps. gc http://www.auto-tune-up-and-repair-options.com/
The location of the flasher relay on a 1998 Dodge Truck is in the fuse panel which is located on the left side of the dash. It is accessable when the door is open. All you need to do is pull off the panel cover to expose the fuses, and the diagram on the fuse cover will show you which one is the falsh relay. The one on my truck is blue, and is about one inch square.

Passenger compartment fuse panel The fuse panel is located below and to the left of the steering wheel by the brake pedal. Remove the panel cover to access the fuses. To remove a fuse use the fuse puller tool provided on the fuse panel cover. I suggtes check the next positions...

Look at fuse #18, a 15 amp fuse, in the fuse block. This fuse powers both the tail lights and instrument cluster lights. Usually both of these light systems are powered by the same fuse so when your cluster isn't lit up you'll know right away that your tail lights aren't working as it's not safe to drive without tail lights. Your brake, turn, and head lamps are powered by different circuits. Hope this helps and good luck!
Do you have dash lights? If not chk. fuse. If you do have dash lights chk. bulbs. if bulbs ok, chk. wires and taillight plug. Does it have a trailer light plug? chk. that too. If all that chks. out ok than you will have to trace the wires from front to rear to find the problem. fuses should be labled on inside fuse cover, inside cab, and under hood same way.
