How to unfreeze tablet

Press and hold down the button on your kindle for 20 seconds and then press it again. That should unfreeze it.

Have you tried holding the start button down for about 10 seconds, releasing and wait another 10 before starting as normal. It will take a little longer to restart at first but then all should be fine.

In case your Android smartphone is complete frozen and not responding to you at all, the above restart method won't work for you! To unfreeze Android smartphone that is dead froze, force restart it by holding the Sleep / Power key and the Volume Down key simultaneously until your device's screen goes blank.
This force restart key combo varies from device to device, so it is advised to check your device manual for the right combo. If your Android device has a removable battery, you can remove it and put it again and it will restart the device.

Techniques to Tackle Android Tablet from Boot Stuck

Try turning it off and restarting...if you can't get it to shut down, either take out the battery or let the power run down. When you are ready to restart the tablet, push the UP volume button and the POWER button at the same time until it comes on. This should refresh your tablet

Hold power button (top right edge in portrait position) until slide switch to power off appears. Turn off the device. Now, click the switch and wait for tablet to restart.

Hold the power button and the volume up button for 10 to 20 seconds :)

To UNFREEZE your device you have to do like this:
# press and hold DOWN your POWER button for 10 seconds
# once the device is POWERED OFF recharge the battery COMPLETELY
# when battery is FULL restart your Archos 101.

And make sure your firmware is UPDATED!
