I keep getting dropped calls on my Samsung Galaxy S4. What can I do? Never happened before last week.

Every time I am talking to someone my call gets dropped. I call back again and talk for a few moments and get dropped again. Sometimes I can hear them but they can not hear me. What could be wrong? Is it my Verizon cell service or my phone?

If you have ample signal then its probably your phone. I had an old phone that would start squealing when I talked on it for more than 2 minutes. Verizon should be able to give you a different phone if you have insurance.

It can be your phone But you can easily check this. First you have full bars when making a call i assume.. Second If you happen to be talking and walk into say a Costco building. But chances are it is Your service provider. Call them and let them know of your issues. They may be willing to send a replacement phone..

It is most likely Verizons fault, their service sucks.

My phone rings but I can't hear anyone and they can't hear me. What happened?

Samsung Galaxy S4: Rings but caller/receiver can't hear:

Question: Was this phone paired with a Bluetooth device like a headset or to a car? It may be stuck to that..

In any case, try holding down the power button, select reset or power off, let the phone reboot. Then try calling someone or have someone call you to test. It should work..

If not, by default Google's "OK Google" voice search maybe the culprit. Try turning it off and see if that works..

"From the home screen, hold down the menu button which should go into Google Now. Click on menu button again and select settings. Select "VOICE." Then select "Ok Google" detection. Once there, switch off the option "From any Screen." Once that is turned off. Restart phone"

If this does not work for you, try calling your Cellular Service Provider and ask them to reset the connection on their side to your phone.,. While they do that, they may ask you to power off your phone, take out the battery, take out the SIM card, wait for at least 30 seconds before re-inserting your SIM card and battery, and then powering the phone back on

Samsung turns off

I have 2 sgh-m919 galaxy s4 s from TMobile. Both phones were randomly showing the message "sim card not detected restart" and phone would reboot.. sometime would have to reboot 2 or 3 times before i was normal. I tried many of the net poste solutions including paper on sim card, clear cache, new battery etc. Nothing worked

This week i was ready to buy a new phone.. but was sure the phone wasnt the problem. I started deleteing apps one at a time and found the problem. It is GOOGLE MAPS !!! G0 into settings / more / application manager / slide over to all/ down to Maps /clear cache/ uninstall updates / force stop. Then turn off phone and restart. When you go to use maps or waze again when it asks for permission "decline" it will still work and you wont see the sim not detected restart message again.. Google the words google maps crash or reboots and see how many phones crash. Galaxy s4 happen to have the dialog box that makes it appear to be a hardware problem! Googles motto use to be "First do no harm" please reply if this works for you

Good luck!

Android Reboot Problem

This problem was resolved with the latest release of the Android OS (RC30 in the USA). You can download this update and install it manually, or you can wait until T-Mobile send it to your device as an OTA update.
