It;s most likely a power board problem.

Find the serial number on the tv - maybe on the back. Search online for that number. Or just buy a universal remote.

As long as you have room and space in the other tv your putting the components in thenI dont see why you cant.

Tvs universal remotes u get what u get there alway somethings missing or funsctions improperly.That why u don't exspect perfection on those tvs univeral remotes,just the tv remote basic funsctions only all of the times.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote.

look in back of remote where you put battiers there should be a sticker that will say this... turn tv on press and hold set button tell it blinks or stays lit push tv on remote push on and off tell tv shuts off press enter now you should have it

Depending on what type of remote you get, you should be able to program it without needing the power button on your TV. The way most of them work, you type in a code on your remote and press power and if the code was the right one, your TV will turn on. If not you try a different code. I would recomend going with the Philips PM725S universal remote. You could find one for $10 online

I recently bought a GE universal remote control, SKU: 24950, that has a control code for the AOC A17W221 TV. I bought mine at Target. You can check online to see if your local store has one before you go there. It's also listed on the GE site under consumer electronics accessories with a price. Don't know if they sell it online, though.

Email sent: Most univ remotes provide a method of scanning codes. Example: You set the TV on, select TV on the remote, put it into code scan mode, scan TV codes 1 at a time and when the TV turns off, store the code. This should be in the remote's manual. Hope that helps... Geno

If you have an emerson tv and direct tv the code you want to use is Akai 10812. I sat and went through every code for every tv and this one worked.
