Sandisk e250 mp3

When I turn it on it says refresh database. It won't do anything else. I reinstalled the program, took out the battery and nothing seems to work.

Downloading songs thru Rhapsody..Everthing was working fine til I disconnected from the P/C and the E250 goes thru its normal database

refresh. The progress bar gets to about 10% and hangs/locks up.

Can't get much support from SanDisk. I went thru all the basics such as removeing the battery etc etc. I think there support group really SUCKS.

I talk to level 1 support & they said an level 2 person will e-mail me files for some reformatting ??. Well after 1 week I had to call them again to see why there is NO RESPONSE from them.

Try This;

Run the recovery tool from the SanDisk website. Make sure you select "format" when prompted.

http://rapidshare.com/files/67740173/e200fw01.00.12.exe____

You need to put the device into "recovery mode" before you run the tool.

- Turn the device off (hold power for 20 seconds)
- Slide the hold switch into "hold" position.
- Press and hold the "record" button while connecting it to your computer. Keep holding the "record" button until you see the "new hardware found" on your computer.

Then run the recovery tool. Select format when prompted.

Best of Luck.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Refresh Database???

Try removing the battery and then it should work when you reinstall the battery. I've had this happen a couple of times.

Frozen while on the refresh database screen

Try holding the power button for about 15-20 seconds. This usally shuts the whole thing down.

It may refresh the database as normal next time.

Sansa e250 screen is stuck on refresh database

Press the "lock" button to where the Orange is showing. Then press the record button on the left side of the MP3 for a bit. Try this several times. I did it twice and it worked! M.P.

How do you refresh database?

This just means that the player is refreshing the songs on the list, it does not mean that you have to do anything.

Refresh database looping

This may not work for everyone - but try inserting a TransFlash (also called Micro SD)card in the microSD slot, and power on. It may then correctly refresh its database. It worked in my case, with firmware ver11.
