Hi my fianc? just bought a 55" Loewe Articos rear projection tv. It looks like an older TV to me but I'm not a TV specialist. The TV shuts off by itself often, then it takes forever to warm up again before there is sound or picture. Now it won't turn on. When I push the power button on the remote the green light stays on for about a minute. The red light is on all the time except when the green light is on. There is no sound or picture. As soon as the TV shuts itself off the red light appears again, and stays on. Please help me.

TV always has high voltage shock risk while repair. As you said you are not familiar with TV repair so better to handle repair person this issue.

It is the lamp cover. There is a switch behind it and the post on the cover will slip off the switch. If this switch is not depressed, the tv will go off. No lamp light flashing or anything
I have the sames t.v you have to go in the back flip the power cord switch...then reboot the t.v.
