Point your web browser at Welcome to Facebook Log In Sign Up or Learn More

If another account comes up, log out of it by clicking the down-pointing triangle in the upper-right then clicking "Log Out."

If you then still can't log in to your account, click the "Forgot your password?" link located just below the password box on the login page.

If you're getting an error message, what does it say?

Comcast.net e-mail sign-in on Sony Vaio laptop is not working. will keep on bouncing back to 'log inpage'. my password and account work on any other computer. thanks

Go into system, find the wi-fi adapter and open it up. Choose uninstall and click on it. If windows asks you if you want to remove the software from the hard drive say no. Wait for uninstall to complete than shut down the computer, shut down, not reboot. Wait a couple of minutes than turn it back on, sign in and let windows find and reinstall the driver. It now should work. 9 times out of 10 this corrects this issue.

Your Outlook stops sending your Comcast emails

So over the past few years Comcast has updated security measures in the POP3 email server. Some of these updates look to be directed at 3rd party email software end users like to fetch their mail off the Comcast server. So they have sent out notices regarding "work arounds" for the issue of getting an error response "authentication needed". Now please note folks like every other ISP Comcast does not guarantee or support 3rd party vender software you obtain with your PC or have purchased anywhere but from Comcast.
3rd party would be anything that the ISP does not maintain or have rights to that an end user "YOU" have purchased from another software vender. The original setup for 3rd party email clients "Outlook mainly" which used to be supported in years past was:
Incoming-mail.comcast.net
Outbound-mail.comcast.net
Now the incoming has remained the same throughout however outbound has changed a couple of times to smtp.comcast.net. So recently I seen the new outbound they wanted changed to imap.comcast.net
So I tried this and it just didn't work and I went back to the smtp.comcast.net. Here as of today I realized my outbound again stopped working. So what has happened now the server wants to look at your user name and password a second time as well the outbound listening port which always worked on port 25 now likes port 587.
Here are the steps to make these changes to your Outlook email client.
Open your Outlook click "tools" then "account settings" click on your email address your using for Comcast. Bottom right click "more settings" click "outgoing server" click the tab that says "My server (smtp) requires authentication" click "log on using" fill in the user name and password for your Comcast account minus the @comcast.net it does not need your email routing extension here.
Now click OK and go back in the same way you just did except instead of clicking the "outbound server" choice the last tab that says "Advanced" The only thing your going to change here is the "outgoing server (smtp)" from 25 to 587. Click ok and that's it your done.

I want to go back to my old page, but the e-mail that I had used does not exist anymore. I have a new e-mail address and I want to used this address to get back on my old page, not the new account tha

Hi Frank,

First of all, never use your official mail id as your social networking sign up mail. When you leave the company, you cannot receive your notifications from Facebook since that company mail id would be non-functional then.

Now,Have you forgotten you Password? Then it would be hard unless your old company has not blocked your mail-id. If your pioneeris mail id is still accessible, you can go to your new Facebook account by using 'Forgot Password' link in the main page of Facebook and following the steps detailed there.

Or else, create new account. If you are using the same computer, my guess is Facebook generates suggested friends using your IP or something. I'm not sure here. But when I deleted my FB account just for knowing how it happens and signed up with other mail id, i was surprised to see my old friends coming up in suggestions.

I can realise that connecting with people and explaining them what happened is a painful process, but in future, make sure you create Facebook account with your personal mail id and keep a strong yet easy to remember Password.

Cheers!

Can't open my e-mail at comcast.net

Try this: sign on to the home page at http://www.comcast.net

Then in the browser address bar enter mailcenter.comcast.net then click on Go or hit Enter. If the web mail page opens this almost certainly indicates a pop up blocker was preventing the web mail page from opening when you clicked on the email button.

You should be able to configure the pop up blocker to allow all comcast.net web pages.

Can't log into face book

You can try a number of different solutions which have worked for some people:

Solution 1...
Clear your cache and delete all of your cookies in your browser.

Solution 2...
In your browser, type in the address bar http://www.facebook.com/login (which doesnt exist)
This will take you to a different login page which reads: "The page you requested was not found."
At the top of this page is a login box. Try using this login box to login to facebook.
.
Solution 3...
Download Firefox 3.5 and used that instead of Internet Explorer.
here is the link for downloading it
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html
.
Tip: If you are using the Adblock extension with Firefox, and subscribe to an ad list (basically a list of known ads online), it blocks a special site (fbcdn.net)
that Facebook uses to login.
.
Tip: Go to: http://www.facebook.com/login.php (the page you are having trouble logging in) and click on the
Adblock Stop Sign on top of Firefox, and you will see in red a url that includes
fbcdn.net. Right click on that, and add an exception for the entire fbcdn.net domain.
Reload the page. This should fix the problem.
.
Solution 4...
Use a Proxy Server to connect to Facebook.com
1. Search Proxy in GOOGLE
2. Select Proxy Server
3. Type in facebook.com (in the proxy server webpage)
4. login into facebook account
5. (although all games will work but Farmville may have problems loading)
.
recommended Proxy Server >> http://www.youtubeproxy.ws/
.
If you found this information helpful, please give me a big thumbs up when you rate my answer. Thanks.

It's a temporary issue.

Cannot receive mail into Outlook Express

your incoming server should be set to mail.comcast.net - not localhost and not Rich (outgoing server should be set to smtp.comcast.net) - this according to comcast.net website.

Hp PSC 750 had no problem and printed e-mail using comcast.net with about 12 or 14 font size. I installed office 2007. Now the printer remains ok except the font in printing e-mail messages or messages...

Dixon on HP Chat was extremely helpful on fixing the problem. He told me how to fix the problem but out time run out between chats. With an e-mail prepared to print, select File, print review, select zoom and click on fit to page. That did it, thanks much to a person named Dixon at the HP Chat line.
Problem fixed no further assistance needed at this time. Thanks very much.
