I have a Hoover Vision HD 9 kg washing machine, type VHD 916Z. I does not spin when there are clothes in the machine, it just starts the spin then "gives up" after 0.5 to 1 second. When there are no clothes however it does work. I know next to nothing about washing machines, does anybody know what might the wrong with it?

Double check the waste pump on the inbound side, which could be the cause of a wrong feedback to the pressure sensor switch. The filter can be clean, but the collector from the basket to the pump can be obstructed.

try pushing the door really hard if it opens check the door seal is on properly sometimes they pull off when removing clothes they can get trapped in hinges
