Question about Dell Inspiron 2200 Notebook
The CD drive on my laptop stopped working on me a few days ago. When I remove it I get an error stating that "the device in the modular bay is not recognised". When I install it I get an error stating "no internal harddrive detected".
Since the CD drive is not being recognized, here are my suggestions:
1-Reseat the CD drive. In other words, remove it from its docking bay and plug it back in.
2-If that doesn't work, reload the driver for the CD drive.
3-If that doesn't work, replace the drive.
4-If that doesn't do it, you probably need a new motherboard.
If you need any additional information, please feel free to ask. If this information has assisted you in the resolution of you problem, please return here to give my assistance an appropriate final rating.
Thanks you, and have a super day!
