How do i get the flash off

Sounds like a High Voltage lead in the set is arcing--What I also remember from this set is there is a tiny blue cap (with back off and looking from rear) to the extreme right side of the main board that burns to a crisp.

That is fairly easy to fix.

Let me know what you find.

i think u should put a flash drive in the usb port and save every thing u can on to the flash drive then remove the flash drive and then restore it

Remove the front cover or the back. You need to look for the color gun it will look like a small box with 3 screws. Slightly turn the screws to adjust the color in your case in and out blue and arching lines.. Now the box sounds like a picture in picture function.. Would have to see it. Now it it cuts off power after 5-30 seconds after doing this you could have a bad capacitor on the power supply board which is sending the set into fault protection. A Bad cap with be poped at the top (X) -Top view of a cap should be flat. NOt rasied or poped.

D40x my flash is poping up but not working

I can help, I just need a few more details...

1. Is there a blinking red dot on our screen when you try to take a picture with the flash?
2. Is the flash poping up?
3. Has it worked before?

There are many reasons when flash isn't poping up. Flash selection could be OFF from menu or its setting is Auto. Are you geting any error message in camera when you try to use Flash function?

The lock pin on the dsc-h3 was tilted. I pushed it with my fingernail and now the flash pop up when I need it to. Thanks!

I had this problem with my MSN browser, when I started using I-net Explorer, the Problem stopped.

sounds like high voltage arcing,/flyback,focus block,h.v. anode lead etc.

That is normal operation, if poped up, the flash fires rapidily in low light to assist the auto focus, on a plain white wall, it can't focus, see the manual on AUto Focus limitations.
