After conducting extensive research, it is difficult to determine the exact reason why the KIC model KB6031 fridge is not switching on when plugged in without further information or inspection. However, there are several potential reasons why this may be occurring.
Firstly, it could be due to a faulty power supply or electrical outlet. It is recommended to check if other appliances are working when plugged into the same outlet or try plugging the fridge into a different outlet to see if it turns on.
Secondly, it could be due to a malfunctioning thermostat or temperature control unit. If the fridge is not receiving the correct signals from these components, it may not turn on. It is recommended to consult the user manual or contact a professional technician for assistance with troubleshooting and repairing these components.
Thirdly, it could be due to a malfunctioning compressor or motor. If these components are not functioning properly, the fridge may not turn on or cool properly. It is recommended to contact a professional technician for assistance with repairing or replacing these components.
In conclusion, there are several potential reasons why the KIC model KB6031 fridge may not be switching on when plugged in. The freezer is where the heat is removed from the box and cold air should circulate from the freezer into the refrigerator section. Something must be blocking the vent between the two. There is only one cooling unit; it cools the freezer and is also vented into the fridge for sub-freezing temperatures.
Hi did anyone get back to you on this? I have a KIC Fridge and it does the same... take out the top door shelf/rack but then you MUST unscrew the light (cause otherwise your light never goes off and your food doesn't stay cold) cause the top shelf/rack in the door switches off the light... anyway... once the top shelf is out, the door will close better.... not sure how else to fix it though...
