Question about Hotpoint WMA35 Front Load Washer
I had a power cut ,and now I can not get the machine to do anything . It has power , but every time I set a program to run , it throws a up door lock warning light and will not start . I have powered it down , etc ... , and tried most iof the standard stuff but to no avail ... Is there some sort of reset switch as I think it is stuck in some sort of cycle ??
You cld try 3 things:
1 Find the button on your panel which has the 'key' symbol, press and hold this down till the lock light goes off.
2 Hold down 'options' & 'select' buttons together till the light goes off.
3 Press 'end of cycle' button for 3 seconds, lock should come off.
Pl post back results. Rate if helped.

IF this is the A WMA model then im affraid to say that you have blown your program board.. This depending on the extent on the damage can be repaired but 7 times out of 10 it usually is not...
if you was to remove the front pannel by unscrewing the screws around the soap draw section... and remove the panel.... then detach the board from panel you will c where the largest plug is connected to the board that its is blown.....
P..S Removing the top cover makes removing the front panel a lot easier... The screws are near the front on the sides....behind the little clips
