What a shame, legally I amd bound by a code of practice and have to tell you that a password is placed on an electronic item to protect the owner and I am also to tell you that the only way to restore your system is to re format your disk if it is the secondarey pass word but if it is the BIOS/Boot password then take it to a dealer with proof of identity, for a repair. Sorry I expect you didn't want to read that.
Get a USB CD drive, insert a winXP pro tablet CD, go into bios and tell it to boot from USB device, turn off, attach the USB drive and fire it up. That should reformat and once you get Winxp working you should be able to get the necessary drivers from the Dell web site. Tech suppt at Dell may sell you a disc for the machine that will restore the factory image, just ask. I got new ones from HP for $10.72 total incl postage! 3 to 5 days, what a deal! Any decent tech should be able to reinstall everything you need for less that $50.00, but you will lose all data on the drive. Who else knows or remembers the login?
