My samsung s8000h jet will not send or receive pxts on the vodafone nz network

there are really some networks that can't send picture messages to other networks except calls and text messages, not in only in your place it is happening, likewise on my place where i am in at present.for whatever reason, they are having different servers and frequency signals, however, you would want to check these steps. try to check you settings for receiving txt and mms messages. for mms,  1. select messages 2. scroll down and select settings 3. select multimedia messages 4. select receiving options 5. select foreign network 6. configure it to auto download 7. uncheck reject advertisement 8. select save and exit settings.
for text messages, 1.  select messages 2.  select settings 3.  select sending options 4,  select circuit switch 5.  select reply path 6.  select save and exit settings and check.

My phone tells me my multi media message is too big . when i`m sending picture messages to another phone they are being recieved but the pictures are blurred or blocked. the message reads this media may...

Hi Susan,
Your pics are sending, so youve got the right mms settings :)
However, you need to check the following ....

1. You cant send 5 megapixel images via MMS as the file size will be far too big. You should have the option to resize before sending. Maximum file size is 100K or 300K delending on which setting you have selected.
Make sure your pic is under this limit.

2. Go to messages>settings>multimedia> and look for 'creation mode'
Make sure it is not set to 'fixed'
If it is, then change it to 'free;

Now try and send your MMS again ;-)

Whenever i get a picture message sent to me i just get a failed connection error...why..? Im using erickson z530i on vodafone payt

If you have problems sending or receiving MMS (picture messages) on your phone, you probably need new settings installed in your phone. Go to, choose your phone, choose "Phone Setup - MMS" then go through the wizard. When you've done this they'll send you the new settings in an SMS.
If you can't find your operator in the list, you need to contact your operator to get the settings. Many operators have similar settings wizards on their websites.

Normally you'll need Vodafone to send you both the MMS and Internet connection settings. Then once received an save take your battery out of the handset without switching it off, remove your SIM for 10 seconds. Put it back together and send yourself a MMS and you should now be fully set up.

Alternatively here are Vodafone's settings:

Access Point Name:
Username: wap
Password: wap
Authentication: Normal
Data bearer: GPRS
Gateway IP (proxy) address:
Session mode: Permanent
Port number: 9201
MMS Message (Relay) Server URL:

hi i had the same problem with viewing and sending mms and my provider was unable to help. You need to get the settings from your mobile network provider and then go to: Menu, settings, connection settings, choose whatever provider you are with eg optus, vodafone or whatever.  Enter and save the settings by hitting save. Get back to menu, messages, settings, multimedia message, profile.  Select the same name that you saved the settings under previously. This is how I worked mine out and it works now. Good luck

Unable to send picture messages or connecty to the internet

to connect to the internet & to send & receive pic messages you must activate the GPRS first from your network provider ...The best thing you can do is to contact the customer care of your network provider and ask for the GPRS settings ...
they will tell you the procedure to activate it ....
they will tell the number to which the message to be sent to recieve the settings ....
so note that down and then follow the procedures told by them ...
to send and receive the MMS you must activate the GPRS first make sure of the charges with them there will be many plans & then get activated ...
after this you will able to send and receive the pic messages ...
