My EXCEL program is suddenly not working; the MS Office CD is not helping. I dont know what went wrong! Can you help please ?

- Upon exploring the CD that i have, i am unable to find EXCEL. If i uninstall MS Office and then re-install, i'm worried i might lose more than just EXCEL !! Perhaps my CD has outlived its purpose ! :-(Sponsored Links

Can you please provide any additional information, including error messages generated by Excel? Without knowing the specific error message, your surest solution is to completely uninstall Microsoft Office by going to your Control Panel and double-clicking "Add/Remove Programs". Then, once Microsoft Office is uninstalled, reinstall it using the CD.

- You may have a third option. If you go to your Add/Remove Programs dialog and click on Microsoft Office, you usually have the option to "Repair", rather than "Remove". This reinstalls any broken components without actually uninstalling Office. It is not always as effective as a complete uninstall and reinstall, but it sounds like it would be an appropriate fit for your situationNov 30, 2007
