My 2007 A8L wipers get snow and ice fixed on them while driving even with defrost on. It especially bad on short drives and running errands but it is not safe on the highway. Does anyone have a soluti
Replaced with OEM blades and no change. They just collect ice. My former A8 could use winter blades which were covered and thus did not collect ice.

Sounds like you damaged the gear drive that operates the wiper arms, time for new wiper motor assembly is my guess. Don't use the wipers to brush off snow, very bad idea, the drive gears are plastic and on this old dog very brittle from age.
wow , never turn you wipers on when the cars has snow or ice on the window EVER , you have to loosen the nut that holds the wiper on and re-adjust it to the other one , easy fix unless you work out the knurle that is what holds it in place easy fix ,unless you broke it
The clutch in the wiper motor is bad or you burned up the circuit inside otherwise the transmitter to the wipers are no good you are supposed to allow the car to warm up while the defrost is on and after the car warms up and the windschield starts to melt the snow or ice then use the wipers (the wipers aren't built to push weight or scrape ice only to clean the water from the glass surface)
You can usually avoid that by using a good quality winter mix washer fluid that resists freezing, making sure the wipers are cleared of ice before beginning the drive and using the defroster to keep the windshield warm. In extreme conditions you just need to pull over and manually clean the ice off by hand.(only do that where it's safe). There are also specially designed wiper blades that will also help a bit.
HI, there is a park switch or circuit that is built into every wiper motor. Apparently, your switch has failed. you must replace the entire motor(wiper) in this case.
at the base of the wiper arms pop the caps off turn on the wipers see if the safts are moving if they are tighten the nuts a little if that doesn't work you will have to replace the wiper arms i had the same ting happen on all three of my fords truck van and taurus
If the fuse blows as soon as you put it in and the wipers are off then you have a short between the fuse block and the wiper switch.
If the fuse blows only when you turn the wipers on then more than likely the wiper motor has shorted and burned out. This one is very likely if the snow storm was heavy and you was driving in it. Cause- Moving large amounts of snow and ice off the window puts a heavy load on the wiper motors.
