You may have blow the fusible link. Its the thick red cable attached to the positive battery post. The cable itself has the link in it (par of it, however you want to term it) If its blow the cable will have a bulge in it, not far from the post. If its bulged out its blow and will need replacing. You can test for it by testing for continuity in the cable. Disconnect it from the battery. Test between the cable terminal and before the bulge, reading will be 0.0 after the bulge no reading at all.

When a car battery is places on reversed polarity, you create a short circuit, try checking your fuse box, and replace if any is blown

Horn blows after I installed battery

Attach the battery cables to the correct positive and negative connections, close the hood, use your remote to lock and unlock the doors and the horn should stop. The vehicle may be in anti theft mode and locking and unlocking the doors with them closed should put the vehicle back into normal mode.
Your radio may show antitheft mode now and the code to return it to normal should be in your vehicle handbook in the glove compartment or attached on a sticker to the side of the glove compartment. It can also be had from a Honda dealer.DO NOT EVER REVERSE YOUR BATTERY CABLE CONNECTIONS.

2004 honda accord - while driving all of my dials on the dash including the radio all go to 0 quickly and then just as quickly turn back on. Ive been to my mechanic a couple times now but he hasnt been...

It is possible the alternator is causing this... it is also possible the battery is causing this also... ALSO could be the battery terminals are not making GOOD contact... take them off, clean them with a STIFF wire brush.. and put a little dielectric grease on them to prevent corrosion.. tighten snugly!!!!!!

Hello, my friend is having a problem with his 2009 honda accord, maybe someone can help. His car is only 6 moths old but lately when he shifts into reverse there is about a second to second and a half...

I am pretty sure the gear shift is cable connected so there may have been some stretch in the cables. I have no idea how to adjust them but I wouldn't think the gearbox has suffered unless it is low on oil. At 6 months old Honda should sort it for free.

Automatic transmission slipping 1994 honda accord

there are a few things to do b4 getting new tranny. i would first think of when the last time it was serviced was,if more than 2 or 3 years or 25000 miles since then have it serviced first for a few hundred dollars if you pay someone or about 65 if you do it.just change the filter and pan gasket and refill with appropriate fliud and amount.keep in mind this is only if you havnt drove it much since it started slipping...if it has slipped for more than a few days get a used or new one or have that rebuilt.

1991 Honda Accord Starting/Ignition trouble

sounds like a bad battery or the battery cables are corroded where they hook up to the battery or loose. if it cranks for a couple seconds slow than clicks quickly there isnt enough voltage getting to the starter. not all new parts are good.
