My dryer won't spin the bottom does but the drum wont. It tries then goes back to the rinse cycle. Or it will struggle to spin and the clothes are soaked.

A top-load washer tub is usually supported by four suspension rods. If one of the suspension rods becomes dislodged or breaks, the control board may stop the spin cycle several times to try to balance the clothes. Suspension rods will often come in a set of four and it is recommended to replace all four of the rods at the same time to reduce uneven wear.

Try it with a few clothes placed along the outer walls of the drum. It has a sensor that will try to balance the load before going up to full speed but if there are no clothes or weight in the drum, it won’t start.

I understand your Frigidaire laundry center, model# FGX831CS, is not spinning water out of your clothes completely. I see that on the first spin cycle the drum is not spinning and is just making noise, and on the second spin cycle the drum spins to the left very slowly and loudly. First check to see if your washer is overloaded. Try taking some clothes out and spinning them again. Secondly, make sure that the load is not out of balance. Try rearranging the clothes to allow for proper spinning. Hi just read your posting. The problem appears to be your drain pump is either blocked or faulty.If you would like I can guide you throe the removal of the pump. The reason it does not reach full spin speed is there is still water under the bowl slowing it down.It is impossible to drain the machine by hand completely.Please reply If you require extra help on the pump removal.

sounds like unit is activating out of balance lever thats y it works with no load in it .possible faulty suspension rods making bowl move too much.out of balance lever is at back of inside bowl to the right. try adjusting back feet to make them about half an inch higher than the front feet .that will move the bowl away from lever giving more tolerence. see how u go please reply 4 more help

check the drum action during cycle as it sounds like a motor problem.. either brushes or faulty...

No solution, but I have the same or similar problem - bootom agitaor works, top doesn't. Also softner spots clothes during spin cycle - help - I can't afford a repairman!

Washing machine stops at the spin cycle - light flashes. Have to drain water out manually. Happened last week and was then able to run an empty rinse cycle. Machine worked normally for another week. Same problem today but have had to drain water manually from the drum after trying an empty 90 wash and rinse cycle (both stopped on the Spin and flashed). Any ideas? Thanks. x
