phone off and out the SIM card : jog dial up * jog dial down jog dial down * jog dial * and open the service menu select 3.rd thing and start reset ... ok my friend.
You can either take your phone to the service center or fix it yourself at home. To do it yourself, you can do this by entering the Service Menu and selecting Format. Here is how to get there:
Hi it's better formatting the internal disk instead of the master reset. The way to do that is entering the Service Menu (Jog Dial Up/ Press * / Jog Dial Down / Jog Dial Down / Press * /Jog Dial Down/ Press *) and choose "Format Internal Disk".
REMEMBER THAT ALL YOUR INSTALLED APPZ AND SETTINGS WILL BE LOST (the phone turns in factory defaults settings)
to format a p990 you can do it from the service menu to do it you you have to close the flip and do this (jog dial up,*,jog dial down, jog dial down, *jog dial down, *) and choose format memory
I encountered the same problem but was able to fix it. Just don't know if it's just temporary. Go to tools, control panel, other, set up wizard, tap yes, tap the second button before cancel, keep on clicking to the right direction until the numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4 appears. Tap the center of each number until blinking stops, save settings. For the first few steps you may use the jog dial found on the left side of the phone if the touch screen does not follow your tappings.
how can we change it without going to service center?
