Hello, please try using a different USB device, if it works then there is a problem with your USB flash drive, if not then there may be a problem with the USB port and/or drivers. Check on your device manager to see if there are any exclamation points near your drivers and then try to resolve them.
U NEED TO FORMAT IT 1ST INSERT THE FLASH DRIVE GO TO MY COMPUTER GO TO THAT DRIVE IT MYT B NAMED AS STORAGE (E) OR (F) DAN RIGHT CLICK ON IT SCROLL DOWN TO PROPERTIES CHOOSE FORMAT AND SELECT QUICK FORMAT. HOPE THIS IS HELPFULLY. :)
(WARNING: After running this low level format tool, the whole USB flash disk surface will be fully erased. Therefore, data restoration will be impossible after using this utility!)
Then you will have to use a diskette or a CD, download the driver on some other computer, unpack and copy it to the diskette or burn on a CD-R. Go to this link to download the drivers and for further reading on Windows 98 USB storage issues.
