My Zen wont give my MB back after removing songs

When I delete songs none of my space is returned. I deleted half of my songs and it still said I only have 1 mb of space and wont let me add any more music. I deleted all pictures files as well to gain some space back. I have reset several times and still nothing. Has anyone else had this problem and fixed it?

I believe you have to delete the songs from your computer

Cant put songs on mp3 anymore

how did you delete them?
did you delete them instantly from the file page or through the program they probably gave you with your mp3?

Also, if you removed your mp3 without clicking the "safely remove hardware" button before disconnected your mp3 with the computer, than it may have caused confussion with your hardware.

I have a thump 512. Want to add music to the 25-5 MB (on average) songs on it in MP3 format, but when i drag new songs to it, it says it has no space left. I deleted a couple of songs, but that didn't

That's because no offence but it has rubbish memory. 25mb is nothing these days. Most songs are 9-15mb themselves these days, and so no wonder you have no space left.

Will not accept more songs or convert from wma to mp3

Have you tried backing up all the songs and re-formatting the player? This sounds like it could be a filesystem problem...

Or you could check for a firmware upgrade. That's what fixed mine when it wouldn't play mp3s; a new firmware might have a bugfix for your problem. Firmware is available at:

Deleting voice recordings

all you have to do is go to all songs list....then you have to select a recording (most likely titled MEC(then some numbers) next hold the back arrow down for about three seconds and a little grey list should pop delete song/recording. that's all you have to do.

Remove music

I had the same problem. You have to hold down the back button when you highlight the selected song. That back button is also the options button if you hold it down. You'll see a menu if you do it correctly. Then just scroll down to delete song and BAM...
it's gone.
