Hi
I have come across dual speed recorders before and rather than type out the alternatives ways of speed setting, I found you a manual which can be downloaded from here:
Aiwa VX S135U Operating Instructions Manual
by clicking on the green download button, filling in the letters they require and saving the manual to disk. It is in pdf format so you can use the search facility in Adobe Acrobat Reader to find the relevant bit to you. I used "speed" which worked well.
Hope this is helpful, if so would you please register that with Fixya
Cheers

I have Aiwa CX-NA508. Tape player 1 just ate my cassette and the 2nd tape player doesn't play at all.. Is the 2nd player supposed to play back cassette tapes or is it just for dubbing tapes?

Both players should play a tape. In fact the player can be set up so when tape player 1 finishes the tape, player 2 will kick on to play the other tape by itself. Only one is the recorder to dub another tape or record CD to tape.

How to adjust AIWA Turntable PX-E860U speed

Found this post trying to troubleshoot my Aiwa PX-E860U-after replacing the belt and lubricating bearings, the speed was off. 33 setting was playing slow. Here's the fix:
1. unplug and flip upside down
2. Locate the two holes marked 33 & 45 where black dots are visible underneath
3. Using a very small flat screwdriver(I used one from an eyeglass repair kit), adjust the speed clockwise for faster, counterclockwise for slower

this is a DIY solution, so not perfect, but it works. I played the tracks along to a Spotify recording to get a good match. Hope this helps someone else!

Can I replace the vcr unit in the tv or have it repaired?

Hello
You can do both. Either repair the present one of repalce it as a whole unit. In most cases, replacement is done, when the exististing mechanism has been turned irreparable. If it is repairable, repair the existing one will be better. If it has been turned irreparable, replace it with same type. The cost will be greater than repair compare to replacement. OK.

I lost my original remote control for my AIWA combination TV/ VCR. VX-S135 ? I bought a universal remote control but there was no code listed for an AIWA TV. Just a VCR. I need to know the code to the TV...

Hello,

what's the name/make and model of the remote?

Without me knowing the type of universal remote, there is no way I can get the right code for your TV.

I look forward to your reply.

Bye for now.

Problem

you don't,
for reading the computer uses the fastest speed it sees fit.

for recording it will default to the fastest speed the media allows. but most applicaitons that you use for recording will let you choose slower if you want.
