My canon MP287 cant print.black when photocopy. The paper also started to jam so it cant print. what will I do?

When there is a paper jamb make sure the whole piece of paper is removed because any tiny pieces of paper that are left behind will cause further paper jambs.
If the paper does not feed through the printer correctly then the rubber rollers are dirty/sticky. Clean the rollers with methylated spirits to stop the paper from sticking to the rollers.

Paper jam - I can see the jam, but don't know how to remove the paper.

Hello

Open the top cover of the printer.

If you can see the jammed paper, take one or more sheets of paper and pull them toward you.

While pulling the paper, press the RESUME button to turn the paper feed rollers.

If the paper needs to be fed in the opposite direction, release the RESUME button and then press it again.

If the paper is still jammed, turn the printer off or remove the power cord from the printer. Then turn the printer back on or plug the power cord in.

The printer will run through a reset cycle, which may clear the paper jam.

If the paper is still jammed or if several (8 to 10) sheets are jammed, take hold of a sheet in the middle of the stack using both hands.

With firm, even pressure, pull the sheet toward you.
Usually, removing one or two sheets from the middle of the stack will release the pressure and the rest of the stack can be removed.

Make sure no scraps of paper are left in the printer.

Close the top cover of the printer.

Try printing again.

The Paper Jams

Press the font29.gif paper button to eject the jammed paper. If the error does not clear, turn the printer off, open the printer cover and the CD/DVD guide. Remove all of the paper inside, including any torn pieces, then close the CD/DVD guide. Reload the paper, then press the font29.gif paper button to resume printing.
r_note.gif Note: r_space.gif If you cannot remove a foreign object easily by yourself, do not use force and do not disassemble the printer. Call Epson for assistance.
If your paper jams frequently, check the following:
  • The paper is smooth, not curled or wrinkled.
  • The paper is of high quality.
  • The printable side of the paper is face up in the sheet feeder.
  • The paper stack was fanned before loading.
  • The paper is not loaded above the triangular load-limit mark on the left edge guide.
  • The paper stack fits under the tabs inside the edge guides.
  • The number of sheets in the paper stack does not exceed the limit specified for that media.

MY CANON iR2018 PRINTER COPIER IS SHOWING AN E007 ERROR. I CAN'T PRINT OR PHOTOCOPY

The error E007 code means that the fusing film is worn out or damaged. Worn out is self explanatory, Damage will generally happens when a jam is cleared incorrectly (forcibly or by sticking something like a butter knife into the machine "Do not laugh, I have seen it!"), You will need to most likely have the fusing film replaced. This is beyond most users, you are probably going to have to get a service center to repair it.
Sorry, but I hope this helps

How can i prevent paper jams

ø Remove printer paper from its original packaging. Insert all unused paper into a large, resealable bag. Store the bag with the unused paper on a hard, flat surface away from extremes of heat and humidity to prevent curling, bending, ripping and wrinkles which can cause paper jams.

?? Remove only the amount of paper you need for a particular job from the resealable bag. Tap the paper stack on a hard flat surface to align the edges. Check the paper for rips, curls, wrinkles or bent edges. Remove and discard any unsatisfactory pages.

?? Insure all paper in the stack is the same size and type. Insure only paper types recommended for the HP All-in-One printer is being used. Recommended paper types can be found online at www.hp.com/support/inkjet_media.

?? Insure the HP Officejet All-in-one printer is not currently servicing a print job. Remove any original papers from the copier glass.

?? Insert the stack of paper into the input tray, short edge forward. Slide the stack forward until it stops. Do not force the stack beyond its initial stopping point.

?? Slide the paper width guide inward until the paper is held snugly in the input tray, but not so tightly that it bends the paper. Insure the stack of paper does not extend

?? Observe the printer during operation. Promptly remove printed pages from the output tray.

SOMETIMES FEEDS UP TWO OR MORE SHEETS WHEN IT SHOULD ONLY BE ONE

many printers have a rubber or cork pad under the feed wheels to hold back all the sheets, except the top one. This one doesn't have that, so we'll try a couple other things.

Pull the tray out and remove all the paper. If you're reusing old paper, that might be your problem. Assuming you have fresh, clean paper, take the whole stack, pinching it at one end, and bow the stack up in the middle. Now pinch the other end of the stack, relax the grip on the end you pinched before, and bend the stack the other way. Repeat.

With every bend, the stack gets more slanted. Now hold one end of the stack and fan the other end to get air between all the sheets. Fan the other end the same way. The tiny layer of air you're creating between pages goes a long way in lubricating them, so they feed separately.

Straighten the stack and put it back in the cassette. The blue "fences" at the sides should be touching both sides of the stack to provide a little friction and keep the feed straight. The back fence should hold the stack against the opposite end of the tray. (Your tray is slanted at the feed end. On models where that wall is vertical, you should have a 1 to 2 mm gap so the paper doesn't bind when it tries to lift.)

Reinsert the tray and try it out.

Canon Pixma MP160 shows errors E3 and won't print

Hi there,

Error E3 : Check if the paper has jammed in the machine, reload the paper in the machine correctly and then press [Black] or [Color].

Paper Jams :
Cause : Paper jams in the paper output slot/ Auto Sheet Feeder.
Landscape Credit Card sized paper jams inside the machine.

Action : Remove the paper according to the following procedure.
1) Slowly pull the paper out, either from the Auto Sheet Feeder or from the paper output slot, whichever is easier.
* If the paper tears and a piece remains inside the machine, open the Scanning Unit and remove it. Be careful not to touch the components inside the machine at this time. After removing the paper, close the Scanning Unit, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON.
* If you cannot pull the paper out, turn the machine OFF and turn it back ON. The paper will eject automatically.

2) Reload the paper into the machine and press [Black] or [Color].
* If you have turned OFF the machine in step , you will need to retry printing, because this operation cancels any print jobs in progress.

If you cannot remove the paper or the paper tears inside the machine, or if the paper jam error continues after removing the paper, contact a Canon service representative.
Important : You cannot load Credit Card sized paper in the landscape orientation.

Hope this helps.
Have a good day.
