Hdmi audio problem from tivo hd

I am having problems with audio coming out of my tivo hd into the receiver. The audio works as long as the tv is on. I use the tivo to stream music to my receiver. No need to have tv on. As soon as I turn off the tv the sounds stops on the receiver. My only work around has been to run a analog line to the tape input. Even that does not work by itself. If I put the receiver in setup mode it will play with out a hitch. As soon as I take it out of setup, it starts skipping.

Re: hdmi audio problem from tivo hd

Your tv is new? if it is then it has a remote link, Panasonic call it Viera link, Sony call it Bravia link. Check your tv if it has that, if it does turn it off.
problem should be solved.

Audio not passing through hdmi

Make sure on your source devices that you have dolby digital turned on for example direct tv boxes come with dolby digital turned off by default. There is also in the setup of the receiver a area where you can assign audio inputs so you will have to check to make sure it matches up to the hdmi source you are using

Is the HDMI from the HD TV A/V go to the out HDMI?

No..... (In theory, yes.) In practical application, no. Run HDMI from your source directly to the TV then use digital coaxial or optical for audio to the receiver. There are many problems with HDMI while processing it thru a receiver. For all the info on HDMI problems, Google "HDMI problems" and there are literally 1000's of posts and articles to read regarding the current issues. Hope this helps

Does the pioneer sx315 receiver work with the samsung led?

From memory, this amp does not have HDMI.
If this is the case, use an optical fibre cable for your connections.(Audio)
And if you want every thing to run through your amp you will also need to use component video cables (red/green/blue)
I would suggest the following.
Blue Ray to TV with HDMI.
HD Reciever to TV with HDMI.
TV AUDIO OUT to AMP with Optical Fibre.
This way, whatever is displayed on the tv, the sound will come throught the amp.
Hope this helps.

Keep losing ditigal signal while watching tv

Re seat the audio and HDMI board on your 804 and it will correct the issue. from the back its the HDMI is the TOP board on you left an the Processor is the vertical bord on the left running along the side of the receiver it connects to the main board, amp board, and HDMI board as well as the main panel via a wide ribbon cable. take the boars out and reseat it back in place. if you put a fan in side the unit it will help alot. these connector when they start going they get worse with heat keeit the unit cool. good luck

Analog RCA input to HDMI output?

You have said the correct thing HDMI is digital therefore Analog will not pass.
You might have RCA audio outputs on your cable box so either send them into the TV from cable or into the AMP then use AMP volume to listen to TV audio (select unused input and remember it is for TV) the key is to remember that cable box will drive the initial vol so raise or lower cable vol then use AMP vol to obtain desired volume.
