I have a belkin router setup for a while now and just a few days ago I found that i could not connect. The signal had dissapeared and is now interfearing with my work because i need to use the internet on my laptop. My son said that his Wii was not getting a connection either. The box has its lights on saying that it is connected. I am not really a computer person and i am not sure if i should just buy a new router.
Any help is appreciated.

- Yea i have had it for a while skootzilla, Should i just buy a new one then?
If no signal, check router config. Use your internet browser to look at router's settings. By default the password on most Belkin routers is left blank, and the default IP address is 192.168.2.1 Check all you router's wireless settings in case disabled or incorrect. Make sure the laptop's wifi button has been toggled to OFF. Routers do die - esp the lowend ones. New wireless G router = $20 on sale.

Windows 7 & XP, p printers. XP is cabled, all others wireless. Router sees all devices and issues ip adresses. PCs access internet fine, but devices do not see each other on LAN. File/printer sharing appeares to be turned on, but no response from any networked device for either OS.
