not in my range of expertise as commercial vehicle but there should also be a FMI code number to go with the fault code , follow link to the freightliner web site where you can download owner manuals etc that may give you more info on your problem also a freightliner forum would be a good source of info , keep me posted if you wish

I assume you're seeing this in your odometer display?
MBE 900??? There are hundreds of codes I don't know anyone that has them memorized. The only way to properly diagnose electronic engines is to have a shop plug into to it with the engine makers diagnostic software.
