My ford focus 2005 went off battery while in service, caused my eclipse AVN2205D DVD/CD/Navi radio write in Japanese, surely only i can understand the letter CD, plse someone help me

Yes turning off and on but no respond, only the screen cover responds

Is this what happen to your DVD navigation? You registered a cd acting as a security right?
ESN Security: This unit is equipped with the Eclipse Security Network. You can register a particular music CD as a "key" device which unlocks the security. If the registered CD is not detected, the navigation and audio functions will be disabled when the main unit is disconnected from and reconnected to the vehicle's battery. You can turn the security on or off, or change the "key" CD as desired.

get a 9 volt battery and cigarette lighter plug and connect the 9 volts battery positive to the center wire in the cigarette plug and negative to the second wire, then plug it into your cigarette lighter socket, then you can remove the car battery and install the new car battery. good luck :)

Quick and free fix sir or maam.The radio locks up when the battery is removed on today's cars.I don't know who decided to start it but it is somewhat stupid...I think anyhow.All you have to do is call a Ford dealer and they will give you the code and method to unlock your stereo.Write it down because your battery may get disconnected for many other reasons than a dead battery when repaired.I am pretty sure they just need the VIN.You can put aftermarket stereos in too if you ever want to.Good luck! I have 2005 Ford Focus and radio will cut out on me. I can't use the cd player/radio but the panel still lights up. I can see me changing the channels, volume etc but no sound. It does this every so often....
check all conections to the head unit and make sure there in the ryt place n lso check the wires at the other end at the speeker jus seemsly a loose conection sumwere to me

Turn the radio off first and then disconnect the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery. This should reset your radio and then you can eject your CD, and reset your stations and clock. Good luck

Radio reset codes
I have a 2001 focus ..radio suddenly stopped playing after being at garage.  I thought that the battery was disconnected and the radio neede reset code, as it has a rad blinking dash anti-theft light.  i went to ford garage and they told me they don't have reset codes on the focus.  Is this true?
