Plays movies in black and white? not in color!

When we watch amovie it plays in black and white,not color.

Try a different cable, or wiggle it around at the connection point.

It has something to do with your TV's video system and your player's video system...they should match...that is,PAL-PAL,NTSC-NTSC and etc..or if your tv has a multisystem then just set it to AUTO. Check on the dvd menu for the video format maybe that´s the problem , hope this helps , AJ

Cinavia is an anti-piracy protection embedded into the PS3 and it triggered by some codes in the audio track of the movie.

You cant play Cinavia protected movies on the Playstation 3 native player.

However If your Ps3 is jail-broken you can use a homebrew player to play those movies.

New lcd tv and dvd player is playing movies in black & white

1. Verify connections are color coded.

2. If they are correct, take out movie, press Play/Stop at same time on the front of the unit (not remote) to reset any settings that may have been changed.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by changing system settings, there is somewhere on the console where you can choose between two differant colour options. have a look around and try changing it on the ps itself.

I have downloaded amovie mamma mia. it wont play. the format is divx.leeta. i have downloaded divx software but it will still not play. david

Apart from being illegal to download movies, try doing a google search for 'xp codec pack' download and install then try playing the movie in Windows Media Player.
