I have a Kelvinator upright freezer model k330uf the bottom section does not work

The Kelvinator FD830 upright freezer has three temperature indicator lights located on the top right outside corner to show the current temperature range inside the freezer. The green light indicates that the temperature is within the safe operating range, while the yellow light indicates that the temperature is rising and nearing the upper limit. The red light indicates that the temperature has exceeded the safe operating range and may lead to food spoilage.

get a meter and check for short or seized motor --compressor

Likely turn it all the way to the right. If it does not turn on the compressor, you will need a new cold control. What is the model number#? Kelvinator Freezer Temperature Control Thermostat 297216004

Depending on the model you pull the cover from evap coil and you will see either a bimetal thermostat or the timer

Download its manual here and then read through the defrost section. It should run every 12-24 hours.

It shows that it is plugged in.It is a power indicator light.

You will be okay as long as the garage does not go below freezing. If the fridge gets that cold it could start to have problems.

Start Relay/Overload or Compressor is bad. A bad compressor can make a Start Relay/Overload go bad but the only way to find out if compressor or Start Relay/Overload is bad is to replace the Start Relay/Overload if it starts and stays running you fixed it if Prob. returns in a week or so or if you have the same Prob. after replacing the relay the compressor is bad.

ice on top of freezer door they came out with a fix but does not work two vent holes on bottom of door seal mthem off with silicone moisture getting in if that don't work you need to take liner off and spray foam the liner cavities

Look at the old heater. There should be clips holding it to the evaporator coil. Also follow the wires and disconnect them. You may want to unplug the unit first.
