Question about Aiptek MPVR Digital Camera

1 Answer

Camcorder lcd screen light blue (blank) and camera won't turn off...

I have an Aiptek MPVR+cb camcorder still under warranty. It has worked pretty well since purchase. Since last week the following problems occur:
When I open the lcd monitor, the screen lights to blue, then a very quick dim, then blue screen. I am unable to display any menu or to record. Further, I am unable to turn the camera off via the power button, but must remove the battery and reinstall.
I have completely discharged the battery and recharged it as well remove the memory card in an effort to get the camera to work.
Thank you for any suggestions,

Re: Camcorder lcd screen light blue (blank) and camera...

Sounds like maybe a connection somewhere inside the camera came loose? Or maybe the camera's firmware (camera's operating system) is damaged? I'm honestly not sure what would cause this. You could try contacting Aiptek customer service or you could post this issue at

and see if anyone there is familiar with this problem.

Memory full

I have a 720p Aiptek camcorder. It sucks. Though I have 2GB free space, everytime when I try to record any video or picture, says 'Memory Full". It's a waster product.

Camcorder freezes up

Do you have a memory card in the camera? If so, try taking it out and turning the camera on to see if the card is causing the problem.

If there's no card in the camera, I'm not sure what could be causing this. You could try posting this problem at to see if anyone there has any suggestions. I don't know those guys personally but I've been reading the boards and I've seen them help people with various camera problems.

My camera will not stay on

Hi Sarah,
I had the same problem. What I did was to remove then reinsert the battery and turn the camcorder on. I let the battery run down (discharge) completely, then plugged it in to the charger overnight. Doing a little more research on this camcorder, I found that if it hasn't discharged completely when you recharge then the battery holds less charge each time until finally you get next to no battery use. Discharging completely may be an option. Hope it works!

White Screen

I don't know if you stil have the camera in question, since this is a fairly old post.

I've just tried to make this happen with my MPVR and even turning LCD brightness and Exposure all the way up doesn't result in this unless I'm pointing the camera out a window at bright daylight. If you aren't able to access your menus I'd say something's gone wrong with your camera.

You could try posting at
to see if anyone there has heard of this.
