My taco red robin is leaking water can I replace the seal?

A leak on the O-ring seals on or sealing the spinning shaft. It is a known issue because a Water Pump Service Kit is readily available.

If your dishwasher leaks, check these:

Main tub seal
Door gasket or seal
Water-inlet valve
Hoses
Main tub seal Note… If the main motor of your dishwasher is mounted vertically, beneath the center bottom of the dishwasher, the following instructions probably apply to you. But if your motor is mounted horizontally, the pump isn't serviceable--you need to replace the entire pump and motor assembly.

The main tub seal is beneath the drain impeller. It prevents the water in the dishwasher from leaking out near the shaft of the motor. To get to the seal, which is inside the dishwasher, remove the:

• Lower rack



• Spray arm



• Spray arm support



• Wash/drain impellers

Then pry the seal out of its housing and replace it.

Door gasket or seal Over time, door gaskets and seals harden and lose their ability to seal properly. You can't repair the seals. You need to replace them if they've begun to leak.

Water-inlet valve The water-inlet valve, itself, seldom leaks. But, the water-supply line from the house and the rubber tube leading from the valve to the inside of the dishwasher may leak. Tighten or repair/replace these as necessary.

The water-inlet valve could mechanically stick open. When that happens, the water continues to flow into the dishwasher, which then floods your kitchen. Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher, and replace the valve.

Hoses Behind the lower access panel on your dishwasher are several rubber or plastic hoses. If the leak appears at a connection, try a new clamp. If that doesn't work, replace the hose.

Any time there is a damaged hose, replace it completely with the OEM part.

Washing Machine Fill Hose If the washer is leaking water, check the fill hoses on the back of the washer, this is the most common place for water to leak. If the washer still has the original black rubber fill hoses replace them with stainless steel or some other, more durable hose.

Drain Hose If the washer is leaking water check the drain hose. The most common places for the hose to spring a leak is from the connection to the pump out to the back of the washer. Another common occurrence is when the washer gets pushed too far back against the wall.

Or is the water heater leaking?

1) If this is emergency, turn off water and call plumber.

I believe that you must buy the plastic pump housing.....And that vinyl type shaft seal comes with that..I think!!!!
I have the same problem.....I changed the regular seal kit at a cost of $30.00 CND....Which is like what? 100.00 American.
Anyways mine still leaks after all that. Turns out there is so much rust between the nylon seal that is attached to the motor shaft, that water works its way down there. Funny that seal does not come with the common seal replacement kit. Im going to check tomorrow to see If I can get that seal alone. My concern is that after I drive for another hour one way to get that seal. Am I only going to put it on just to find out that the shaft is pitted to much by the rust to seal again? I am so tired of buyin ****!!!!!!
