Unit runs but doesn't cool... since it is in some mountain property and not there all that often I decided to make it as new as possible. Replaced defrost timer, thermostat, control thermostat and overload relay but not overload thermal switch. compressor gets very warm to the touch and cycles off quickly. Help
One of two things: low voltage due to voltage drop in your power service, or you replaced the start relay with the wrong part. Put the old relay back in, and check voltage at the outlet when it's running. I think you'll find your problem if you haven't yet damaged the compressor.
I have known of a compressor to become "stuck" after sitting for a period of time. I remember resorting to a block of wood and a hammer to free it up. Use the wood between the hammer and the compressor as the compressor is trying to start before the overload clicks out. Try not to dent the case. Again, make sure too that your AC line voltage is not an issue.

Maybe I am calling it the wrong part but it was the exact same as the one that was replaced. Even ohmed out the terminals and it was identical. This refrigerator was given to me and when we moved it in and plugged it in it wasn't cooling... previous owner said it worked fine but it was sitting for about 6 months prior to being given to me.
The unit turns on and after a short time, you can hear the thermal switch go "clack"... I guess it cools off and tries again to no avail.
My fridge is actually model # ED25PQXFW02
