Question about Compaq (158165-001) DVD Drive
AFTER CLONING A DVD TO MY PC AND WRITING THE DVD FILE TO A BLANK TDK DVD+R DISC, MY E DRIVE WON'T READ ANY DVD THAT I PUT IN THE DRIVES. THE E DRIVE LIGHT IS FLASHING NON-STOP AND TRYING TO READ, BUT WON'T. I TRY TO CLONE A DVD AND MY CLONE PROGRAM SAYS THAT THERE ISN'T ANY MEDIA IN THE DRIVE. ANY TIPS??
SOURCE: DVD DRIVE WONT READ
You may have installed a program for the cloning that has "commandeered" your drive. Try doing a System Restore to a date prior to cloning the DVD. You can also try uninstalling any programs like MagicISO or Alcohol and then re-installing your normal burning software. You can also try Uninstalling or disabling your drive and re-booting, forcing a driver reload.
